Framerly Privacy Policy

What the app does

Framerly records video and optional microphone audio to make landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16) versions of your take. Processing happens on your iPhone. Videos stay in the app on your device unless you choose Save to Photos or Share.

What stays on your device

Source recordings, exported videos, thumbnails, and settings (camera choice, grid, mirroring) stay in the app. Finished pairs release the source to avoid a permanent third copy. Unfinished sources stay for retry. App media is excluded from OS backup, so save important recordings before deleting the app. Deleting the app deletes its local library.

What you choose to send out

Nothing leaves the app except what you send: videos you save to Photos (add-only permission), files you pass through the share sheet, and purchase data described below. Copies saved to Photos or shared elsewhere stay there when you delete the local copy.

Purchases

Apple and RevenueCat process purchases and determine Pro access. RevenueCat creates an anonymous purchase identifier; it is not a Framerly login and does not sync videos or free recordings. These services receive the purchase data they need to provide and restore access. Framerly never sees your card details. Their handling is covered by RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

Free-recording records

Framerly counts three free successful sessions locally. The count records remain on the device after you delete videos. Reinstalling the app or using another device may start a new local count.

What we do not do

No analytics or crash SDK, no ads, no cross-app tracking, no cloud video storage, no remote processing.

Your controls

Change camera, microphone, and Photos permissions in iOS Settings. Delete local recordings in Library at any time. Manage subscription billing through Apple Subscriptions.
